Cobra Beer Cobra_Beer

Cobra Beer is extending its Cobra Bite range of naturally-flavoured premium lagers with the launch of a new variant and a packaging re-design across the range.

The latest addition is Cobra Bite with Fresh Ginger, which is currently rolling out exclusively in 400 Tesco stores nationwide.

The new flavour joins the range that was launched in May 2007 in the UK market. With an ABV of 4.1% and packaged in 250ml bottles, Cobra Bite was the only lager brand in the UK market with 100% natural extracts added after brewing, which is said to make them “less challenging” than traditional Belgian fruit beers.

The full range features Cobra Bite with Sweet Lime, Blood Orange, Lemongrass and the newest flavour, Fresh Ginger. The products are aimed at female drinkers between 25 and 35 years of age.

Ketel One Vodka White Cosmopolitan Ketel_One_Vodka

Ketel One Vodka is distilled from 100% top grade wheat in alembic copper pot stills (hence the name ‘Ketel’). It is blended with pure demineralised water to give the spirit a strength of 40% abv, meticulously filtered over loose charcoal to remove residual impurities and to ensure a velvet smoothness and crystal clear clarity, before being rested in tile lined tanks.

A Citroen version is created using natural citrus fruit – the peel from two types of lemon from Sicily and Morocco, along with a dash of lime peel – to reveal a pleasant, tantalizing aroma and a delicate lemon flavour.

Ketel One Vodka has a very discreet character, ultra smooth, with no after taste. Consequently it lends itself naturally to numerous cocktails, but aficionados will say that its best served ice cold, sipped on its own, or served in a classic martini.
A 70cl bottle of Ketel One Vodka costs around £19.99 and is available from Harvey Nichol’s, selected Waitrose stores and online at www.waitrose.com, www.thedrinkshop.com.
